GOALS:

Establish a community of practice in course gamification

Create a gamified module/mini-module for a current course
Facilitators: Kim Becnel, Scott Rice & Patrick O'Shea (ASU faculty)
When: Fall 2016
What: Seven (7) face-to-face & online learning & development experiences

Participants organized into small groups
-
Face-to-face/online sessions every two weeks (Friday afternoons)
-
3 optional individualized sessions as needed
Pre-requisites: A strong interest in enhancing student engagement & learning
Limited to: 8-12 participants (dependent on participant knowledge & experience)
“Game player’s regularly exhibit persistence, risk-taking, attention to detail and problem solving skills, all behaviors that ideally would be regularly demonstrated” in college, (Klopfer, Osterweil, & Salen, 2009, p. 1).
